TURNAROUND means "an Abrupt or unexpected change causing a favorable situation"

This month has been prophetically declared to us to be our turn for a turnaround. This simply means that this is a season for us to start experiencing unprecedented changes in our lives.

All through scripture we see God to be God that turns around the situation. God is not pleased when people are suffering, his desire is to see men enjoying life and getting the best out of his creation. God put is here on earth live like gods.

What does this divine turnaround demand from me?

1.   A turning   

If you are expecting situations around you to turn around you need to be ready to turn yourself. A turn around in your circumstances will be provoked by a personally initiated turn around from you. Until you turn, nothing else turns.

 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.

What does the turning of men do?

• Provokes God to forgive their sins

It means if you don’t turn, if don’t start doing things differently, you’re wasting time asking for forgiveness coz the qualification for forgiveness is first you need to turn.

• Provokes God to heal their land.

A land that is not healed is not a fertile land. Plants don’t flourish in such a land, only weeds do. Everything planted in a sick land dies. The land here refers to our lives. It’s only after God has healed our ‘land’ that things start to be fruitful, prior to the healing this will be dying one after another regardless of the effort we put in.

• Opens heaven to hear their prayers. It makes God attentive to their prayers

You don’t want to operate under a heaven that is deaf to your prayers. Its very frustrating to pray and not be heard. The reason many people give up on the faith is because they get to a point of frustration because all they have asked God to do, has not happened. Please note that God is not to blame, if he heard, he would have turn, the truth is he hasn’t heard.

• Gives you the boldness to approach God in prayer  (Hebrews 4:16, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.)

Boldness is key in getting whatever you want, either from God or from Man.

What are you turning from?

1. Sinful life
2. Failure to give tithe
3. Ungrateful attitude/Always complaining

2.    A prayerful life

Prayer is key, you cannot avoid prayer and expect a turn around.  Things in the spirit are moved by things in the physical. Whatever happens in the physical has already happened in the spirit. Prayer is what gives men access to the spiritual realm.

Gaining access in the spiritual gives you control of things and circumstances in the physical.

2 Kings 20: 1-6  1 ¶ In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

 2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

 3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

 4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

 5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

 6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

The fate of Hezekiah had already been decided in the spiritual and that was happening was that Hezekiah was only being informed. He was wise enough to access the spiritual himself and his case was turned right there.

This month of turnaround, as you turn from your prayerless ways , God will start moving things in your favour, things will start turning around for you. In Jesus name.

3. Studying the word

God’s word is the turnaround tool for all our situations.

The word not only imparts us with knowledge, when we read the word we get to interact with God himself and in the process we are turned to his nature.

God’s word ministers to our Spirit man who is the real us

God has you in His heart. He is so mindful of you and believe me, His mind is FULL of good things for you.For I know the thoughts that I think towards you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11) How awesome! That came directly from the lips of your Father. He has great plans to take you to a glowing future. He means what He says and only says what He means.

“”  Those are the lyrics of a popular chorus. It brings to our remembrance God’s beautiful destiny and future for us. Based on God’s grand design, it is therefore not uncommon (especially among Christians) to hear statements like “my future is bright”, “I must make it”, “I will get there” etc. These statements all point to the fact that our present position is not the end. They also insinuate a glorious outcome in the next few years. Similarly, they imply one’s high expectation which the Bible says “shall not be cut off” - Proverbs 24:14.Yet, there is a clause between the present moment and this future. Where is this future? There is this vague and most times, unconscious definition of the future to mean a particular destination. It really has not dawned on us that getting into this future is stepping into the next minute of the day. The future has been discussed and years have come and gone, yet the future is still being talked about.

When does one get to this future? THE NEXT MINUTE. The next minute is the future we have been talking about because the minutes become hours and the hours become days and the days turn into months and the months make up years, from generation to generation. The future therefore is not a place. The future therefore is not a particular year.Have you not observed that the day we once called “tomorrow” turned into “today” and in a matter of hours became “yesterday”? Every passing moment takes you into the future. Everything you do per time moves you to your future. Therefore, what you desire to see in your future is what you should be working on now. Start moving and keep moving because time waits for no one.Your youthful season is the best time to discover God’s plans for you and begin to walk in it. All those dreams, visions and desires of yours must receive a touch everyday in order for it to manifest in its fullness. There’s never going to be that COLOURFUL future if you don’t start painting out small portions today. Little drops of water, they say make a mighty ocean. Friends, there is no ocean anywhere waiting for you. The ocean you will see in the next few years is the one you have been adding daily water droplets to.

We often say to one another “see you at the top” – beautiful! But we may never meet again if you don’t take the first step up the staircase. And consequently, take the remaining steps to the top. Don’t get stuck halfway, take a step every day.Dr. David Yonggi Cho said “each of us should use our short segments of wasted time to brush up…” The seemingly few minutes we waste chatting, watching T.V. and idling away, if effectively utilized, could take us a long way forward. Improve yourself as the clock ticks. Every day should meet you playing your ball towards the goal post.Ten minutes of learning and practicing the French language will see you conversing in French at the end of a year.

Similarly, ten minutes of chatting and idling daily will give you nothing at the end of a year, which ultimately means that the future you expect to meet is the one you built.Bishop David Oyedepo constantly says, “the faith that makes God responsible for everything in your life is an irresponsible faith”. Faith is not an excuse for laziness. Work is a proof of your faith.… I have written unto you young men because ye are strong… (John 2:14)Now that you are in your youth, you are strong, so put on your strength. Cast off fear, doubt and excuses and begin to forge ahead. It was said by Martin Luther King (jr) “if you can’t fly, run; if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl; but by all means keep moving”. If Noah’s ark contained all species of animals then, they must have waited for the snail to get there. If the snail was saved from the flood, you have no excuse.Beloved, pick yourself up. God is with you and for you. Let nothing hold you back. Be all that He wants you to be. Don’t let your dreams die as dreams. Make a move – take one step at a time.

HOW TO MAINTAIN A CLOSE WALK WITH GOD: Part 1& 2

Walking with God implies our making progress in the divine life. Walking requires a progressive motion. But how does a Christian maintain such a walk with God?

1. Prayer and Fasting

Neglect of private prayer has been frequently an inlet to many spiritual diseases, and has been attended with fatal consequences

1Tim 2:08 I will therefore that men pray lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting……

Confession leads to consecration which guarantees acceptance.
Prayer is the most neglected and under used resource in the kingdom of God. It’s a secret weapon that satan has hidden from men.

2 Chronicles 15:2-8,15  And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
³ Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
⁴ But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
⁵ And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
⁶ And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
⁷ Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
⁸ And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord...
 ¹⁵ And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.

Joel 2:16-17  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
¹⁷ Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

If you kneel before God you will stand before men.

Lamentations 02:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

God is not moved by vocabulary, enunciation or articulation; He is moved by sincere longing of an open heart that “spills” the burdens of the day across the altar.
If we don’t kneel in prayer, we will stand-in frustration.
If we fail to learn the healing art of prayers, we will practice the hideous habit of wary.

2. Walking in Holiness/Practicing the Word of God

Those who would maintain a holy walk with God must walk with him in His commandments.
When you walk in his commandments, he makes you a commander in life.
Talkativeness, gossiping, flattery, lying, idle talk , dilute the power in your tongue thus avoid. 


James 3:1-9 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
² For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
³ Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
⁴ Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
⁵ Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
⁶ And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
⁷ For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
⁸ But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
⁹ Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

Col:4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Lev 20:16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Watch your heart ,motions and motives.
Avoid all appearance of evil.

Prov.25:17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbor's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.

Your make-up will never cover your sinful life.
The closer you walk with God the more of God nature’s you will acquire.
You would rather walk than drive to hell.
Practically walk in discipline because you are a disciple of Jesus.

3. Serving God Exodus 23:25-30 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
²⁶ There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
²⁷ I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
²⁸ And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
²⁹ I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
³⁰ By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

When you serve God with all your heart men will serve you. When you serve God He services you. When you serve God you cannot serve sickness.

Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
When you serve God in pressure you will live in pleasure.

Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

Numbers 16:9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

Deuteronomy 28:47-48 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
⁴⁸ Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

Serve God also with your offerings and Tithe.If you don’t pay tithe your life will be tight.

4. Godly Association

Who you follow determines what follows you.
Who you spend your time with determines how you behave.
Many mind keeping friends than keeping God.
If you would walk with God, you will associate and keep company with others who walk with Him

1 Cor15:33….Be not deceived evil communication corrupts good manners…..
Its imperative for those who would walk with God to meet together when they can, in order to provoke one another to love and good works

“ And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb. 10:24-25).

The apostle Paul knew this full well, and therefore exhorts the Christians to see to it, that they did not forsake the assembling of themselves together.

For how can one be warm alone?

5. Studying & Meditating The Word of God
2 Tim.2:15…..”study to show thyself approved unto God….

Joshua 1:8…..” This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success…”
Develop a culture of reading & studying the word of God.

Prov. 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

When we read the word of God we are rubbing our minds with the mind God.

Gen24:63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming….”

We read of Isaac's going out into the fields to meditate in the evening; or, as it is in the margin, to pray. For meditation is a kind of silent prayer, whereby the soul is frequently (so to speak) carried out of itself to God.

Better known by stage name Claude Baus, Claude is an African Hip Hop Poet who combines rap music with banging beats and skilled lyricism to reach out to the youth across the globe.After numerous victories in rap competitions,spoken word and open mic sessions in various institutions he acquired the name "Baus" from his fans meaning a skilled lyricist with a rich voice and the ability to switch accents.

Most of his lyrics focus on motivating young people to think,dream big and become change makers of their homes,communities and good leaders of the future.The views expressed in his lyrics are largely a mixture of socialist commentaries on issues such as poverty,religion,class hierarchy,government and all forms of discrimination from christian point of view.In short his mission is to use Hip Hop music as a catalyst for positive social change.

Claude was born in the east side of Nairobi city.He was raised by his mother, in a christian family of four.He worshiped at Winners Chapel International since age 7 to present.He attended Dagoretti High School(ditchez) and graduated in 2009.He began his music career the same year.He was later signed in by Soundland Music Company in 2010.

Baus released his first debut solo album" Let My Song Play"(yet to be launched) on September,23,2010 without the help of any distribution company.He allegedly took it to the streets and sold the first 1000 copies within the first day of its release.

On 1st August 2011 Claude dared to put his life on the line and released "Don't Sell Your Soul To The Devil" to create awareness and about illuminati,freemansons,luciferians and other secret societies/anti-Christ religions, NWO(New World Order) and their negative influence in the music industry/business.Warning the youth to be very careful about the kind of music they listen to.

During an interview with WCNN Claude stated that,"the major challenge is that record companies not artists not artist themselves profit most from mass production and marketing of music...I am commited to bring you the best music that I can and I appreciate everyone of my fans for your patience and support as I build my career from ground to sky high up... If the love that I have recieved from my fans is an indicator then am sure I'm on the right track to a very succesful career."

The team; before auditions

 IGIZA FEST AUDITIONS

So after over 2 months in intensive rehearsals, prayer & fasting, the hour of reckoning beckoned; Jewels Production representing Winners  Chapel had finally come face to face with the IGIZA FEST' auditions on Sat the 23rd of June. Though a tad nervous considering this was the  first external competition they had ventured in, faith was at heart. Also, the fact that everyone was smartly dressed in their post-modern costumes, looking like true jewels, helped build up the psyche as well. The Jewels team arrived at the Kenya National Theatre at around 4pm, only moments before gracing the stage. This aroused quite the stir among some of the other participating churches who seemed to have been eagerly anticipating to behold what these "fashionably-late comers" had in store.
 




One would expect the audience to have been tired and bored by evening but as the team went up on stage, the saying "save the best for last" was clearly re-affirmed. They kept everyone at the edge of their seats, eyes completely glued to the breath taking play "Uptown Baptist Church". A dash of wholesome comedy mixed up with a little bit of romance, colossal suspense & a dramatic twist of events at the denouement, left the hall echoing with applause. And as fate would have it, this indeed mirrored the inevitable forthcoming verdict;
Winners Chapel proclaimed the winner with 77.7% thus automatically qualifying to the Galla Night scheduled for the 14th of July. Vigorous thanksgiving & praise to God rent the air around the vicinity as the Jewels team celebrated divine favour & distinction that encompasses this great commission. All eyes focused on these shinning jewels was evident depiction & confirmation of God's promise in Malachi 3:17

 ¹⁷ And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
